Auditor General Calls for Consolidation of State Pharmaceutical Drug Purchasing

Suggests potential savings could be upward of $250 million annually, no program cuts

Wednesday Auditor General Jack Wagner announced a new recommendation to reduce the cost of Pennsylvania state government by consolidating pharmaceutical drug purchases and pooling the purchases with New York and New Jersey.
