Today marks the one year anniversary of the first edition of the Pennsylvania Independent, published on Jan. 25, 2010.

Our first year has been a remarkable one. We’d like to believe we’ve contributed in some way to the discourse in Harrisburg and around the state, but there is always more work to be done. Though we pause for a brief moment to celebrate the end of our first year, we’re already in the process of making changes to move ahead.

In our second year, our commitment remains the same. We will continue to bring you the most important daily political news from the state Capitol and the key political stories from around the state. We will keep our eyes fixed on the way government spends your money and we strive to uncover waste, fraud and abuse in the political system.
